Thanks to high shrink force, mechanical resistance to stresses arising during thermal expansion of the network caused by the variable temperature of the heating medium, and resistance to aging, the sleeves ensure the long-term service life of the district heating network and the safety of the pre-insulated pipe joint.

Technical Data:

Specification:

  • Possesses a soil stress test certificate (the so-called sand box test) for 1000 cycles in accordance with PN-EN 489:2019; sleeve sealing with hot-melt adhesive and butyl rubber mastic.

  • Factory-made filling holes are adapted for venting plugs. The heat-shrinkable sleeve is made of black, radiation cross-linked high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

  • The high mechanical strength of the cross-linked material ensures resistance to tearing and abrasion.

  • The application of appropriate sealing in the sleeve protects the joint zone in harsh conditions.

  • The minimal number of components comprising the sleeve limits installation time to a minimum, thereby increasing installation efficiency.

  • Reduction of joint costs; heat-shrinkable bands are not required.

  • The sleeves are resistant to corrosive chemical agents and UV radiation.

  • The uniform layer of sealant, in the form of hot-melt adhesive and/or butyl mastic, does not attract foreign matter and does not detach while sliding the sleeve over the casing pipe.

  • Each sleeve is individually packaged in a white film sleeve

The selection of a straight joint begins with determining the outer diameter of the pre-insulated pipe casing (e.g., 110, 160) and placing it directly after the product group symbol "M".

A key rule is to omit the letter "D" from the code, which indicates the selection of a straight sleeve with a uniform dimension along its entire length. Next, the type of sealing should be matched to the ground conditions, choosing, for example, hot-melt adhesive (designation "K") or double sealing ("P"), which is recommended for groundwater presence.

Finally, verify the length of the non-insulated steel pipe end – for the 220 mm dimension, it is necessary to add the symbol "-L" at the end of the code.
